In the first quarter of 2025, the top social networking applications on the iOS platform in Egypt demonstrated varied performance trends, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Threads showed a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 49.7K in mid-February. Active users grew steadily from 1.3M to about 1.4M by the end of March.

Telegram Messenger experienced fluctuating weekly revenue, reaching up to $2.2K in the final week of March. Weekly downloads started at 20.1K and gradually decreased to 13.9K. Active users remained robust, hovering around 4.5M throughout the quarter.

WhatsApp Messenger saw a decline in weekly downloads from 20.9K at the start of the quarter to 6.3K by March end. However, active users maintained a steady climb, reaching over 7M.

Facebook reported a decrease in weekly revenue, starting at $3.3K and falling to $2.5K. Downloads also decreased from 17.2K to 7.2K, while active users fluctuated, ending at 6.4M.

Messenger had minimal revenue, peaking briefly at $18 in mid-March. Weekly downloads decreased from 14.5K to 7.4K, but active users increased slightly, ending the quarter at 5.3M.
